La Lancia è uno stile di vita.

On many websites, this section is called "frequently asked questions." What always strikes me at Lancia meetings is the strong sense of family. The ladies are often present too. At the gatherings in Italy, children and/or grandchildren are often involved as well. We keep the family in. Mama answers the toughest questions. Nowadays, men are also allowed to play the mother role. I put on my "mother hat." Or is it my "mother bonnet"?

I learn a lot from my Lancias. And from my Italian friends. For me, this is logical. Lancia is the most creative car brand in the world. There is a direct connection between a Fulvia (and Flavia) and the mother principle. Without the mother principle, the Fulvia wouldn't exist. Without the mother principle, you can't drive a Fulvia. Now, you might say this is true for every car. That’s correct. However, there is an important difference. There is no car from the sixties or earlier that is such an ultimate combination of passive and active safety. There are other cars that also have high passive safety, but they drive like a cross between a tractor and a nightstand. There are other cars with almost as high active safety, but then you better not have a collision or fall off the road. It's quite fun to look at what exactly the connection is between the mother principle and a Fulvia. I’ll add it somewhere toward the end of the list of questions. That way, you can always skip it if it’s not your thing.
